Adawatte tea estate is dedicated in providing the best teas to the buyers, single estate tea resellers, leading tea brands around the globe purchasing adawatte tea for their blends and the end user the tea consumer. As one of the leading tea estates in Uva district in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) we must be producing some excellent quality teas to be accolade with awards and certifications as given below being lucky enough to receive. We are proud of these awards and would like to thank all who have been involved in making adawatte tea estate an award winning mark.

Adawatte Estate Ceylon Tea from the nation of Tea Sri Lanka, with a history of over 100 years is known world over for the unique Flavour, Taste, Colour, Aroma and characteristics sourced and marketed as a single estate tea. And a must for the premium gourmet blends by all most all the leading tea brands around the globe.

  • Adawatte Tea Estate achieved the number 1 spot in Uva high and medium grown elevations, which has above 100 tea processing centers/selling marks by achieving a net sale average Rs304/10 for the season January-December 2007. In other words it emerged as the best estate in the Uva for the year 2007
  • It is the 1st estate in history, of Uva Province Sri Lanka to record a NSA of above Rs300 for a calendar year.
  • The estate established 98 top prizes at the Colombo weekly tea auctions in the year 2007.
  • The estate Obtained a all time record of Rs.810/= for BOP1 in the year 2007.
  • Achieved a all time highest price for Orange Pekoe (OP) in 2002 at the Colombo Sri Lanka tea auctions.

    Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Pointer process
    HACCP
    Haccp is a systematic preventive approach to food/drink safety that addresses physical,chemical, and biological hazards as a means of prevention rather than finished product inspection. HACCP is used in the food/drink industry to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions, known as Critical Control Points (CCP's) can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realized. The system is used at all stages of food/drink production and preparation processes including packaging, distribution, etc. HACCP programs is an effective approach to food/drink safety and protecting public health.
